Year 2000 compliance statement

CER International bv, manufacturer of the COM-Watch 2000 products, recognizes the importance of providing our customers with products that will continue to function correctly during the year 2000 and beyond.
CER International represents that the current and future COM-Watch 2000 products properly process time and date related data and functions, up to, including and after January 1, 2000. This applies to the product COM-Watch 2000 V5.1 and all Plug-In Device Drivers intended for use with COM-Watch 2000 V5.1.
The compatibility includes that the products correctly roll over to the next date and correctly handles special dates such as 1999-09-10, 2000-01-01 and 2000-02-29. The year is explicitly captured, entered, stored, calculated, imported, exported and displayed in a four-digit format.
CER International cannot guarantee that 3rd-party products are fully compatible and warns that use of the COM-Watch 2000 products with non-compliant 3rd-party products may cause COM-Watch 2000 to misrepresent the time or date. Such 3rd-party products include, but are not limited to: MS-DOS, PC-DOS, Microsoft Windows 3.x, Windows 95/98, Windows NT and the specific PC hardware, real-time clock and BIOS.[ return to FAQ overview ]
